About this committee

DISEC is one of ten committees at SEAMUN I, a student-led, non-profit Model UN conference focused on global healthcare and sustainability. 100% of surplus is donated to the Thai Red Cross Society.

What is DISEC?

The Disarmament and International Security Committee is the First Committee of the UN General Assembly. At SEAMUN I, delegates negotiate frameworks on securing lethal weapons in transit and stopping diversion of legal arms to illicit markets and non-state actors.
